Students from UGI leave for Bangkok

ALLAHABAD: A group of 70 enthusiastic students from both the campuses of United Groups of Institutions (UGI) Allahabad and Greater Noida would fly for Bangkok on a 15 days summer internship program, starting on June 17 onward.
This is in collaboration with AIT (Asian Institute of Technology) as a part of MOU between UGI and AIT, Bangkok, Thailand. Since last Seven years this exchange process is experienced at UGI, wherein every year faculty members and students travel to AIT, Bangkok and MISSOURI University, Columbia.

For the programme, a total of 70 meritorious students from both the campuses of the institute were selected to visit AIT and be part of this summer internship program. This would the biggest group since last Seven years including 60 students from Allahabad and 10 from Greater Noida. The proud parents of these students were also present there at the campus for the flag off ceremony, on Wednesday.

“It is such a proud feeling that my son is going to an International trip on his own for a training and this training is going to help him out in his future success as well”, said father of a student.

More than 350 students have travelled to AIT, Bangkok and Columbia, Missouri under these global tie-up program. Apart from this, 920 students were placed in more than 75 placement drives held, 151 students qualified GATE, informed PRO, UGI, Siddarth Kumar.
