Telangana HC Stays degree online admissions

HYDERABAD: Acting Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan of the Telangana high court has stayed the Online admission process initiated by the state of Telangana in all the degree colleges, both private and government, in the state.
Scores of private colleges approached the high court stating that this centralized counseling would take away their rights and would render them helpless. The CJ while issuing notices to the state and its education authorities, stayed the process.
However, he has made it clear that the admissions made by private colleges in this year would be subject to the final judgment of the court. Justice Chauhan also directed the private colleges to inform this to the students and obtain an undertaking from them that they were made aware of the fact their admission would be subject to the outcome in these writ petitions.
