UPPSC declares exam schedule, PCS-2019 on Oct 20

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced the schedule of examination slated to be conducted from June to December-2019. The commission will conduct PCS (prelims)-2019 on October 20 while Combined State Engineering Service Exams-2019 will be organised on December 22. Eight exams will be conducted during the next six months.
As per the new pattern, the preliminary exams of Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF)/Range Forest Officer exams will be conducted along with PCS (prelims).
UPPSC, Secretary, Jagdish said, “The Computer Operator Grade-B and Programmer Grade I exams will be held on July 7 and July 14 respectively. Government Degree College (screening) exams-2017 will be organised on July 28 to fill the vacant posts of lecturers across the state. It will be followed by programmer grade II exams on August 25.” The Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF)/Range Forest Officer exams (mains) exams-2018 will be held on November 13.

Meanwhile, UPPSC has rejected the demand for postponing the mains stage of exams of PCS-2018. The aspirants had requested the Commission to give them minimum 90 days time period to prepare for the PCS (mains) exams. The result of the preliminary stage of the exams was announced on March 30 and mains is scheduled to be organised on June 17. The candidates claimed that they are getting only about two months for preparation of the coveted exams of the state.
Secretary, UPSC Jagdish said postponing the exam will disturb the schedule of remaining exams so PCS-2018 will be held as per the time table.
