WBJEE 2019: WBJEE Board holds meet to finalize exam dates

KOLKATA: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) on Friday convened a meeting of all members to decide the nitty-gritty of applying for the JEE (engineering) and the other examinations conducted by it. It has been decided that this year, the brochure will be brought out in Bengali. Till now, the brochure for engineering students was published only in English.
The other dates of examinations were also finalized. “JELET is likely to be the last exam to be conducted, in mid-July. Over possible clash of dates due to the Parliament elections, even JEE engineering will be held on May 26, a month and five days later than in 2018.
The Board will, however, try to publish the results at the nearest possible date to last year’s first counselling date,”
Another source said that the Board will also prepare a powerpoint application to explain to aspirants how to fill in the form.

Several calls made to the WBJEE Board chairman, Malayendu Saha, went unanswered.
